Story Swap
The swap is a storyTeller's open stage

Begun in the early 1980s the Story Swap has provided a welcoming room from which to develop a new story, or a new skill. And for those who drive, it comes complete with free parking.

Some news:

Jeff is the new organizer for the swap. He used to be a high school teacher, and now performs as a teller in the schools. He has improved the food and beverages available during the break. For example, on one Thursday evening, there was fresh fruit and a bowl of soft chocolate into which folks could dip their strawberries. And it was free! As well, the board, in consultation with professionals, have formalised some of the telling guidelines that have developed over the years and have had these policies typed up and laminated for all to peruse.

The Tea Party

The room is intimate, but the stories are as open as our imaginations.
The usual pattern is fifteen minutes of telling, then fiteen minutes of conversation, intermixed with moments of tea and scones.
