Marta Singh

Argentinian by birth and Ottawa StoryTeller by choice, Marta has been telling traditional and literary tales in English and Spanish since she chanced upon storytelling in 2003. Her passion has spread around festivals, concerts, schools, offices and living-rooms. By invitation, she has programmed and performed private concerts where, in collaboration with her audience, she has explored the visible and invisible threads that tie stories to personal experience, language, and landscape.

Marta earns her magic translating, interpreting, facilitating, and contributing to manifest the power of story. She has recently developed a set of legends from her native Argentina, weaving Spanish and English into the Good and the Evil. By November, she'll have crafted her first set of ghost stories. Her heart is still joyfully at work on powerful personal material. Expect to hear it in 2009. And get hold of her this Christmas! She's hoping to tell The True Meaning of Crumbfest to whoever welcomes the gift.
