February 4 Sally and Friends:

Sally Robinson / The Guilty Pleasures - an evening in two parts.

Part One: Sally Robinson is seen around town playing either with the Toasted Westerns or The Herb Girls. For this evening, she plans to ‘sally forth’ - take the lead and sing some of her favourite, more obscure jazz ‘n blues tunes, as well as a couple of originals. She’ll probably be joined by a friend of two.

Part Two: Let’s see now. What does Ottawa need that it doesn’t already have? An accordion trio!! The Guilty Pleasures fits the bill. Linda Miller, Dave Taylor and Sally Robinson make up this cheesy trio … What would you consider to be your guilty pleasure?

Come and check out ours! Sure to be an evening of unusual wonder and awe!

This delightful modern bluegrass group delivers with great vocals and fun instrumentals at the expected bluegrass pacing, and a friendly, if almost shy, stage demeanor.

February 17 & 18 Melwood Cutlery:

A consummate songwriter and performer, "boasting one of the most recognizable voices on the Canadian roots scene" says the Ottawa Citizen . Melwood Cutlery, originally from MacDonalds Corners, plays piano, guitar, organ and harmonica, and has been known to yodel when the occasion demands. His songwriting ability ranges from ballads and lullabies, to folk blues and rock.

His most recent CD, "Campfire", was released in May of 2005, on Borealis Records, and earned overwhelming critical praise, including first prize for "Ballad of the Moonlight Lady" in the Ontario Council of Folk Festivals, Songs from the Heart awards. Plans are in the works to shoot a video of this song. In August, Melwood found himself in Wakefield PQ, Kingston and Maberly ON, and finally at the Living Room in New York City, joining forces with Jenny Whiteley, Chris Brown, Luther Wright, and Carolyn Mark, among others, for the "Hootenanny Tour".
